An oak frame annexe offers a flexible, self-contained living space that adapts to your family’s changing needs. Whether attached to your home or set close by, it’s a beautiful and practical way to bring loved ones closer while giving everyone their own space.
An annexe can provide independent living for grown-up children who aren’t quite ready to fly the nest, or comfortable, close-at-hand accommodation for elderly relatives. It can also be a valuable addition to your property, with the option to let it out for a secondary income. And annexes aren’t just for living in: they make inspiring home offices that keep work and home life separate, as well as perfect spaces for a home gym, studio or hobby room.
Every Welsh Oak Frame annexe is completely bespoke. Our in-house design team will turn your brief into detailed drawings, shaping a space that suits your needs and complements your existing home. Many annexes can be built under permitted development rights, and our designers will talk you through your options. If planning permission is needed, we can manage the application for you. Already have plans? We’re happy to quote them or adapt them to include oak.
With nearly 30 years’ experience, we are one of the few oak framing companies that still truly handcrafts every frame. Our expert carpenters create striking details and a natural, softer finish that machine-made frames simply can’t match, giving your annexe a warm, welcoming character from the moment you step inside.
