Air Source Heat Pumps
An Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) extracts heat from the outside air and distributes it indoors through heating and hot water systems. Most property owners installing an Air Source Heat Pump can benefit from funding from the Boiler Upgrade Scheme in England, or the Home Energy Scotland Loan/Grant in Scotland.
An Air Source Heat Pump system is particularly suitable when outside ground space is limited. A Ground Source Heat Pump requires trenches or boreholes to be dug, whereas an Air Source Heat Pump fan unit is placed on a suitable base, usually at the rear of your property. This type of heat pump can deliver efficient heat to the property regardless of climate, weather, or temperature.
