Underfloor Heating
Underfloor heating involves running a series of pipes under the floor of a room. This means that the whole floor acts like one giant radiator. This system works excellently with the lower flow temperatures of a heat pump system. Your heat pump designer will need to create your bespoke design to ensure that the right amount of pipe at the right centres is specified.
Underfloor is now a very popular way of heating homes, and because you don’t need to position furniture and other interior items around radiators, adds a sense of space. Underfloor with a heat pump also helps you meet low energy legislation, aiding compliance with Part L Building Regulations.
Whilst installing underfloor heating creates less disruption if you are building a new home or having other works done such as major renovations or extensions, it can still be retro-fitted into existing homes if you are up for the challenge!
By fully understanding the heating requirements of your home, IMS Heat Pumps will ensure the heating system operates at maximum efficiency and minimum cost. Further savings are made by optimising and integrating the controls of the heat pump and underfloor heating. By having a single point of responsibility for the whole heating system you can rest assured you will have the bespoke system you need to create your cosy, low carbon home.
